A very small and undoubtedly temporary feature has sprung up at the gates of The Hangout, a small hill made of discarded mattresses. Not quite steep enough for climbing, it should delight any visiting kid. The interior, now bereft of bedding, has been repaved with gymnastic mats. Apparently it all conforms to Australian Standards, is Made in Australia, and cost roughly several million cents. Expect fewer sommersaults by school children due to no springs and much harder surface, fewer sore asses due to falling into the gaps, and some misguided attempts to steal a part of the new matworks as a bouldering pad.
