I have been remiss in blogging. Much has happenned and not much time to write. There was the CAWA BBQ, Santa Claus came (so I must have been good), the end of year trip to Esperance and Albany was productive. I wrote the new Cape Le Grand Miniguide.... I love the place. Thank goodness it is 800 km from Perth. I dislike popular crags (or "secret squirrel" ones).
Last year I managed what I set out to do: redpointed a couple of 24s, ponied up the Matterhorn and Mt Blanc in the Euro Alps, did a few renos around the house and managed to remain reasonably healthy through it all. The kids have gotten a bit taller again and Clara now plays violin. I have started mending a few things that I have broken.
This year the plan is similar. A few days at Araps over Easter. SpunOut in late Easter. A winter trip to the cracks of Frog in QLD. Some more technical climbing of less known mountains in the Alps. A couple more 24s, maybe Inner Tension at Chch and Running with the Bulls at MQ or To Bolt or Not to Be, although that one is hard to work, being on top of Mount Randall. Needs a cold winter day too. I probably need to renovate less, relax more, and get some core strength going to fix my back. Other than that one, life is good. All relies and extended family seem to be flourishing. Now I have a new laptop to setup and a movie camera to play with, so I hope you dont mind when I whip it out at events.
Another year, yahoo!
